Chapel of Rest
The Griffin Suite
Butterfly Funeral Services chapel of rest, named 'The Griffin Suite', offers a serene and comforting environment for families to gather and honor their loved ones.
This dedicated space is a multi faith chapel, designed with warmth and compassion in mind, providing a peaceful backdrop for reflection and remembrance. With elegant decor and thoughtful amenities, the Griffin Suite ensures that service is personal and meaningful. Families can find solace in this tranquil setting during their time of need.

Why is it called the 'Griffin Suite'?
The Griffin Suite was dedicated to a wonderful friend named Dave, Dave was the first person that we had the privilege to care for at Butterfly Funeral Services in 2020. A keen Barry Sheen fan, we decided to incorporate this into the design of our door plaque in memory of Dave.
The Griffin family had another unfortunate loss in 2021, Dave's Son, Richard. This felt like an appropriate time to have an official opening and dedication ceremony with the Griffin family present. A local lay preacher Janet attended to bless the chapel of rest, formally introducing the Griffin Suite, a spacious homely room to remember loved ones past and present, finding peace and comfort from of our sacred space.
You can find a photo of both of these amazing men displayed on our chapel of rest wall, in pride of place.

You can request for the coffin to be closed or just to come and sit in the chapel without the coffin present. This can help to feel close to your loved one or to allow yourself to have some needed reflection or prayer time.
Can i play music?
Music can really help the visit of your loved one feel very poignant and special it can really help bring you into the moment. We have a smart speaker in the chapel that you can request songs or something for the background such as nature sounds. This can be to the mood in which you feel appropriate, a classical piano sound may be all you need or you can request your loved ones favorite artist or genre of music. If you want to bring in an instrument or your own media source, you can do this too to create the personalised ambiance.
