My name is Matthew, or you can call me Mattie,
I am a Funeral Director at Butterfly Funeral Services, I pride myself on the compassion and attentive details i give whilst looking after my funeral families.
My favourite act of service is the honour of walking with your loved one on their final journey in front of the hearse.
My Story
After attending many courses at college my funding expired,
After funding was no longer available to me i was offered one day a week enrichment with Shane's previous funeral company, i really developed a strong sense of belonging here and was a big part of the team and joining for full time enrichment, even the BBC came to share my wonderful skills on the news.

In 2020 i had to take some time away from funeral directing as due to my health i was required to shield during the Covid-19 Pandemic, This time off gave me some quality time with my family I enjoy taking excellent care of my Mum, making her cups of coffee, doing the gardening and keeping her company.
I take a lot of pride at being a part of Butterfly Funeral Services.​
