Hello

My Name is Rebecca (Beckie).

Saying goodbye to a loved one is one of life’s most profound and emotional experiences. As a Certified Funeral Celebrant, I am deeply privileged to support families during this time by creating and delivering services that are not only respectful and comforting but also deeply personal and reflective of the individual being honoured.

My Story

After a fulfilling 30-year career in management, I was made redundant in 2024—an unexpected turning point that ultimately led me to discover my true calling. In reflecting on my career, I realized that I had always found deep fulfilment in moments that involved compassion, connection, and meaning.

My earlier involvement with helping to organise the funerals of my grandparents and father-in-law have been particularly significant experiences for me. The process of honouring their memories with personal, heartfelt tributes stayed with me, and it became clear that this was the path I was meant to follow.

I decided to train professionally with the Academy of Modern Celebrancy, which allowed me to blend my natural creativity with a genuine desire to support others during their most difficult times.

Today, I have the privilege of working alongside the wonderful team at Butterfly Funeral Services, bringing warmth, empathy, and careful attention to every ceremony I lead.

I take time to truly listen to each family’s stories, memories, and wishes, believing that no two lives are the same, and therefore, no two funerals should be either. Whether it’s a traditional service or a more modern celebration of life, I aim to create a farewell that feels authentic, meaningful, and comforting.

Having lived in this community for over 30 years, I’ve built a life deeply rooted in family and connection. I’m happily married to Paul, and together we have two wonderful grown-up children, along with a beautiful dog named Darcy. Family is at the heart of everything I do and I believe in the strength and comfort that family provides during times of loss. I carry this belief into every service I conduct.

Celebrancy is more than just a profession to me; it is an honour and privilege to be invited into such an intimate and profound moment in people’s lives. I approach each service with love, dignity and respect and work to ensure that every ceremony is a meaningful and personal tribute, one that truly reflects the unique essence of the individual being remembered.
