Hello
My name is Shane, I am the founder, owner and the main Funeral Director of Butterfly Funeral Services in East Goscote, Leicestershire.
Arranging and conducting final farewells has been a big part of my life since 1991. I will be there from the very first phone call until the cups of tea you may want, even years later. Having built many unique and special friendships with all walks of life, i find people so interesting and i get great comfort in supporting and guiding people through all kinds of grief.
My Story
​Aged 17, i was put on to a YTS (Youth Training Scheme) where i was given the opportunity in a local Funeral Directors in Melton Mowbray. This is where i gained some valuable experience and started my love for the funeral profession and qualified with a Diploma in Funeral Directing.
After a career change to the fire service and developing a family funeral directors, i have served much of the community and families all across Leicestershire.
